Day 75: We said goodbye to the box turtle, but not before we gave him a couple bites of fruit and if your finger happens to get in the way of their beak...ouch! While releasing the turtle, we came across or my accurately my kid accidentally shook a tree and an Eastern Gray Tree Frog came flying down. The tree frog was unharmed and what a beautiful frog. The eye’s are even camouflage color. When grandma and grandpa came over to check out the damage the flood caused, the boys sent grandpa into the woods to pick blackberries! They were delicious and right from our beautiful creek! Amidst the outdoor explorations, I did a bit of adulting and was way too excited to get my stainless steel soap holder for the kitchen.
We ended the night, at 9:30pm catching toads! I was about to say no, then I remembered the quote “you only have 18 summers with your child”. And while catching toads one of G friend’s cousin said “oh my gosh, Griffin, your like Tarzan!”. Probably the best and most appropriate name to call our wild feral child! .
