Day 50: wayyyyy behind on my journaling! Between the Front Porch Project, another week of home learning and just being a mom, I have gotten myself behind. So here goes! Home learning was full of snacks and tears, and I repeat, tomorrow is a new day.
Should that be the new slogan for the quarantine 2020? “Tomorrow’s a new day” and repeat.... I had a very ADHD moment at Home Depot when I was supposed to pick up a rack and came home with bricks and paver sand. . And of course not enough of either, I do love my little tiny brick walkway by the teepee now. We got to visit the most adorable 21 day old ducks and G my animal lover was smitten. We ended the night at Dairy Depot! Feels like summer!Day 51: We started our day with home economics. O watched a uTube video on making homemade noodles. He got in his head we had to make them and let me tell u, he is a force of nature when he gets something in his head! So not only did we make homemade noodles, we made them twice, once for brunch and one round for dinner! They were two boys approved! And the ones with a little cheese in them..... yummy! I actually enjoyed watching, being apart of this process with them! They were so proud of what they had made! We got to home learning mid day and I can’t even imagine what the teachers think of our videos! Ended the night purchasing local gift cards!!! Woohoo!!!!!!
Day 52: Thursday with a newborn, I could get used to this! Oh my sweet newborns! I got my major newborn fix this morning, with my mask and gloves. After such an enjoyable morning, O and I went to the waterfall to clear out some misc debris and freed another snake, yes, yes I did. I said freed another snake.
. I got back home from seeing one of my preschool favorites and Owen was very upset he missed out on a bike ride to Sonic that big brother had done earlier. So at 6:45pm after 10 minutes of crying, I got my bike down (and keeping it real, was flaming mad). I was stomping my feet, saying it’s too late, he won’t be able to ride all that way, it’s getting cold.... 2 minutes down the path, when I saw our little man, whom four days ago was on training wheels, yelling “weeeee” down the hills and saying “this is the best day ever”. My heart melted, my anger melted and I saw the bright side to a late evening bike ride to Sonic. One, we could actually ride there, two, we could afford to get food, three, Sonic burgers... yum! My little man stole my heart again!
